Monday, May 5, 2008 ALHAMDULILLAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally...Just finally..My prayers have been answered!!! Yesterday, on the 4/5/08 was a day to remember.Its been too long since i tasted victory and how sweet it felt. Yup, my soccer team, came in 3rd in the National Street Soccer League for the preliminary round. How fabulous it felt. TO note that for weeks we have been entering tourneys only to be left dissapointed..But yesterday was our day.We flufffed in the semis but once we got our trophy, we know that we have done a great job. Fabulous job to be precise. I can go on and on about every detail but let me just put up the score yarr..hehe... First round 3-2 Second Round 4-1 Last 16 3-1 Quarters 4-1 (I scored my goal!) Semis 1-2 (Only defeat) 3rd/4th 4-3 So those were the scores. I was keeper by the way. So it was a wonderful feeling when i got my goal. Alhamdulillah. But overall, we played our hearts out. Emotions ran high, we were shouting at each other but in the end it was forgotten as victory took over... InsyaALLAH there will be more to come... *Soccer is better than sex!! |
