Trash It Out

Tuesday, April 22, 2008

Hello hello!! I guess work is driving me to boredom until i just feel like blogging.

But today's post is for my beloved ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB.....here goes...

Before it began, we lost the man who was ARSENAL, Henry. His goals, charisma and flair were brought with him to sunny spain. To Barcelona to be exact. With that went any lingering hopes that we could challenge for honours at any rate.
The season began and the usual silky football captivated the world and the fans were behind all the way, hoping for a miracle. It started off victories after victories, goals after goals. Suddenly, belief started creeping into our hearts. It seemed like a miracle was unfolding. The pundits predicted we wont be even in the top 4 but then we were sitting pretty on top of the table.
Adebayor, Fabregas, Flamini, Almunia, Gallas, Clichy all played like champions. And Eduardo was starting to warm our hearts.
But then tragedy struck when Eduardo broke his leg. Gloomy clouds started to form and then we started to fall apart. We were still sexy but not ruthless.
We were torn apart by Manu, blown by Liverpool then chucked aside by Chelsea, and with that ended our season trophyless yet again.
But we have youth, something that the whole world envies. But i think too many youths are quite a recipe for disaster. Tempers will flare, ego will bulge and emotions will take over.
But the belief is there. There is next season to look forward to. With the youths maturing.
Be warned, never write off ARSENAL because next seasoan is a whole new season and like they say, THE BALL IS ROUND.
