Thursday, January 17, 2008 Hey there dear readers.... Btw, i have managed to pass my Basic Theory Test for my driving and i start my practical driving Today!! How exciting...=)) Wish me luck yarr, i wanna pass before hari raya..=)) Yeah, like i said this blog is gonna have stories to ponder about, stories to be able to say "Hey, i can do that." or "Hey, my life is way much better than that.!" A jar and 2 cups of Coffee. Once, a professor in an American University came in to his class and brought a large jar and 2 cups of coffee. Naturally the students got curious and asked, "What's that for prof?". He smiled, looked up and took up some golf balls and put it in the jar. "Is the jar full?". "Yes sir". He then took out some pebbles and dropped them into the jar. The pebbles filled the gaps left by the golf balls. "Is the jar full?"."Yes sir" was the reply again. Curiousity was burning among the students but the proffesor continued. He took sand and the sand filled up the whole jar. Lastly, he poured all the coffee into the jar. All of the 2 cups. And all this while, he asked the class whether the glass is full and they said yes. The class fell silent as the proffessor began to explain his peculiar actions..... "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car. The sand is everything else - the small stuff. "If you put the sand in the jar first, he continued, "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you." Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your spouse out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the house and pay the bills." Take care of the golf balls first! - The things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "No matter how fulll ur life is, there is always time for coffee with a friend."
